Paper Goods Pond is still covered in ice and snow. The bench is dedicated to my friend, Lisa, who died way too young of breast cancer. I always think of her now when I come to watch the pond changing with the seasons.

I used tow effects on this one: first, Old Paper, which added some texture to a fairly ordinary scene that had a lot of flat white; and then Blue Tint, to bring back the chill of late afternoon in the winter.

  1. They're both amazing photos! Very sorry about your friend. Now, in a way, she's always at Paper Goods Pond waiting for your visit.

  2. Great shot in tribute to a friends memory but for my money she would love the touch of blue in the lower shot

  5. Would love to revisit here when the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. It looks like a nice place to reflect on Lisa's bench.
